He studied photography in Gothenburg, Sweden and took an ART.Ed degree from Akureyri University. He has three times earned project-grants and has published a photography book, S\u00f6gur (Stories), for wich he was awarded Hornafj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Culture Award in 2017.
